Marine Infrastructure Repair
Advanced Marine Infrastructure Repair Solutions
QuakeWrap® offers a range of patented solutions specifically developed for the repair and protection of marine infrastructure. Systems such as PileMedic® and SPiRe®+ have been engineered to address the severe deterioration commonly experienced by piles, seawalls, bulkheads, and other waterfront structures exposed to saltwater, corrosion, and impact. These systems utilize advanced Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) materials that are lightweight, extremely durable, and resistant to corrosion, making them ideal for long-term performance in harsh marine environments.
Unlike conventional repair methods that often require heavy equipment or costly cofferdams, QuakeWrap’s marine repair systems are designed for rapid installation with minimal disruption to operations. PileMedic® provides a structural jacket for restoring timber, concrete, and steel piles, while SPiRe®+ panels can be used to repair seawalls, pier walls, and other vertical waterfront structures by forming a stay-in-place FRP form that is filled with grout to create a strong composite repair. These technologies have been extensively tested and successfully installed in projects around the world, offering owners a reliable, cost-effective solution that significantly extends the service life of critical marine infrastructure.
Key Benefits of Our Marine Repair Systems
Field-Adjustable Dimensions
PileMedic® and SPiRe®+ systems can be easily adjusted in the field to match actual site conditions. This flexibility minimizes costly delays caused by incorrectly sized components being delivered to the job site.
Full Structural Restoration
The systems can fully restore the structural capacity of piles, seawalls, and similar marine elements—even in cases where up to 100% of the original section has been lost due to corrosion, decay, or impact damage.
Underwater Installation
Repairs can be completed below the waterline without the need for cofferdams, significantly reducing project cost, complexity, and construction time.
Impervious Protective Barrier
The systems create a continuous impermeable barrier that prevents the intrusion of moisture and oxygen. By isolating the damaged structure from these elements, the corrosion process is dramatically slowed or effectively halted.
Corrosion-Free Materials
Constructed from nonmetallic Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) materials, the systems will never corrode, providing exceptional durability in harsh marine and coastal environments.
Long Service Life
The combination of corrosion-resistant materials and protective encapsulation results in very long-lasting repairs that can significantly extend the life of marine infrastructure.
Lightweight Components
The FRP components are lightweight and easy to handle, eliminating the need for cranes or heavy lifting equipment in many applications and simplifying installation in remote or difficult-to-access locations.
